ASSOCIATION OF FLIGHT ATTENDANTS-CWA AND COMMUNICATIONS WORKERS OF AMERICA DISTRICT 9 ENDORSE DEMOCRAT WILL ROLLINS
CORONA, C.A. — Today, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA and Communications Workers of America District 9 announced their endorsement of Democrat Will Rollins in California’s 41st District.
“I’m thrilled to have the support of the Communications Workers of America and Association of Flight Attendants-CWA,” said Rollins. “It’s time that organized labor had an advocate in Washington representing our district, and I’ll always have their back in Congress.”
“CWA District 9 proudly endorses Will Rollins for Congress, from the 41st District of California,” said Frank Arce, Vice President of CWA District 9. “The product of a union family, we know we can count on Will Rollins to fight for issues CWA members in District 9 care about: working families earning a living wage, improving health care, climate change, and improving our infrastructure.”
“I’m so proud that my union, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA), has endorsed Will Rollins for California Congressional District 41. This is my home district and I will be thrilled to have Will represent me and my family,” said Rick Schwabauer, LAX based Flight Attendant and member of the AFA Political/Legislative Policy Committee. “As Aviation’s First Responders, we count on a safe, secure, and healthy aircraft environment to do our work and come home safe to our families. After thoroughly reviewing Will’s principles and plans as a representative, it’s clear he will do everything in his power to ensure the U.S. remains a leader in aviation safety and security across the globe. Will was raised in a Union household and will be a strong proponent for Flight Attendants, worker’s rights to organize, affordable healthcare, and strengthening working families’ ability to share in the profits we help create.”
AFA and CWA are Rollins’ first labor endorsements in the race. In his 2022 campaign, Rollins received endorsements from over 25 labor unions, helping Rollins give Ken Calvert the closest midterm election he’s ever had.
Today’s endorsements come following Rollins’ campaign announcing the endorsements of 30 members of the California delegation, including Speaker Emerita Pelosi and all 3 U.S. Senate candidates.
Will Rollins is a Palm Springs resident and Southern California native. A former federal counterterrorism prosecutor, he is now running for Congress in California’s 41st Congressional District.
