ICYMI: LGBTQ+ VICTORY FUND AND SQUARE ONE POLITICS ENDORSE DEMOCRAT WILL ROLLINS IN CALIFORNIA’S 41ST CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT
National Democrats Continue to Rally Behind Rollins’ 2024 Rematch Against Ken Calvert
CORONA, C.A. — This week, the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund and Square One Politics both endorsed Democrat Will Rollins in California’s 41st Congressional District.
According to its website, the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund is, “the only national organization devoted to electing pro-choice, pro-equality, LGBTQ+ leaders to public office at every level.” And according to Square One Politics’ website, they are “the non-profit that provides high-impact, hands-on support to the most promising Democrats running for Congress all over the country — with a focus on women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ candidates.”
“LGBTQ+ Victory Fund is proud to endorse Will Rollins’ campaign, a critical opportunity to restoring a pro-equality majority in Congress,” said Annise Parker, President & CEO of LGBTQ+ Victory Fund. “Will is a former prosecutor and committed public servant with the political wherewithal to fight for policies that benefit all Californians, from tackling climate change to expanding access to health care. With anti-LGBTQ hate growing, Will’s candidacy sends a strong message that the LGBTQ+ community refuses to back down in our fight for equitable representation.”
“I’m thrilled to once again receive the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund’s endorsement,” said Rollins. “From my experience in law enforcement, I know firsthand just how important it is to defend our community against hate and extremism. Yet even in this dangerous moment, Ken Calvert has continued to attack our community – at the same time that an activist Supreme Court just made it easier to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people. That’s why I look forward to working hand-in-hand with Victory Fund to defeat him in 2024, and to continue our fight for equality and freedom for all Americans.”
The endorsements from LGBTQ+ Victory Fund and Square One Politics follow a string of endorsements from national Democratic organizations, including Equality PAC, Voter Protection Project, New Politics, Democrats Serve, The Long Run PAC, Communications Workers of America, and Association of Flight Attendants – CWA.
Additionally, 30 members of the California delegation, including Speaker Emerita Pelosi and all 3 major U.S. Senate candidates in California have endorsed Rollins’ candidacy — as has former Senator Barbara Boxer.
After handing Republican Congressman Ken Calvert the closest midterm election of his 30+ year congressional career, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has named California’s 41st Congressional District as one of its initial 33 “offensive targets.”
Will Rollins is a Palm Springs resident and Southern California native. A former federal counterterrorism prosecutor, he is now running for Congress in California’s 41st Congressional District.
