Will Rollins Announces Record-setting Fundraising Haul for Third quarter of $830,000

CORONA — Will Rollins on Thursday announced that his campaign will report record-setting fundraising bringing in more than $830,000 in the third quarter of 2023, bringing the campaign’s total to more than $1.7 million since launching in May.

“I’m deeply grateful for the grassroots enthusiasm our campaign has continued to grow in the past few months,” Rollins said in a statement. “Our supporters know that Ken Calvert’s corruption is only making the dysfunction in Washington worse. After 30 years of using his office to enrich himself, voters are ready for change. In Congress, I’m going to put my national security and counterterrorism experience to work on behalf of the people by putting country over party and focus on solving challenges facing Riverside County residents.”

Never before in California history has a challenger raised more than $800,000 in two off-year quarters. The record-setting haul is the latest proof point that the momentum behind Rollins’ campaign ensures he is well positioned to flip CA-41 from red-to-blue in 2024.

California’s 41st District is a highly-targeted race by national Democrats, the press, and election forecasters. Here are some of the latest developments in the district:

The Cook Political Report moved the district from “Lean Republican” to “Toss Up.”

National Journal recently highlighted the excitement around Rollins’ candidacy in their “House 2024 Power Rankings,” and ranked CA-41 as one of the most likely seats to flip from red to blue this cycle.

Rollins received the first challenger endorsement in the country from Democratic Whip Katherine Clark, the highest-ranking Democrat in the House to endorse challengers this cycle.

Rollins made appearances this summer on both CNN and MSNBC to discuss the race and his background in national security, as he helped to prosecute January 6th insurrectionists.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee marked CA-41 as a “district in-play.”

Rollins is a Palm Springs resident and Southern California native. A former federal counterterrorism prosecutor, he is now running for Congress in California’s 41st Congressional District.
