NON-PARTISAN POLITICAL EXPERTS SAY CALIFORNIA’S 41ST CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT IS SHIFTING FAVORABLY FOR DEMOCRAT WILL ROLLINS
PALM SPRINGS, CA — On Tuesday, the non-partisan ratings agency Cook Political Report shifted California’s 41st Congressional District from “Likely R” to “Lean R”.
In its updated ratings, Cook Political Report wrote the following about CA-41:
“In an otherwise banner year for the party, Calvert might be a rare concern for the GOP. The 30-year GOP incumbent has always found a way to scrape by. But this Riverside County seat is rapidly filling up with new voters priced out of LA, and new maps pushed the seat east into the liberal Coachella Valley, shifting it left from Trump +7 to Trump +1. What’s more, Democrats have a well-funded nominee in prosecutor Will Rollins, 37.”
Will Rollins released the following statement:
“In an election year that will be critical in our efforts to keep Democratic control in Congress, CA-41 is one of the few places in the country where Democrats have a chance to go on offense and unseat a Republican.
“Our community has no appetite for Calvert’s extremism. I’m running to restore faith in our democracy so we can get to work on issues that matter – fighting rising costs and price-gouging, making healthcare affordable, keeping our schools safe from gun violence, and ensuring that women have the freedom to control their own bodies.
