DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE WILL ROLLINS ADDED TO DCCC ‘RED TO BLUE’ PROGRAM
Will Rollins is ready to flip this seat blue and deliver for Riverside County families
PALM SPRINGS, CA — Today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced that Will Rollins has been added to its competitive ‘Red to Blue’ program, which arms top-tier candidates like Rollins with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue to develop strong campaigns.
Will Rollins, a former federal prosecutor who took on January 6th insurrectionists, is running for Congress in the newly created CA-41. As an assistant U.S. attorney, Rollins worked to protect the public from criminals, including a Ponzi scheme organizer who defrauded dozens of seniors out of their retirement savings and a corrupt physician who sold opiates for cash. He’s facing off against incumbent Rep. Ken Calvert, who has earned the title of ‘one of the most corrupt politicians in Congress,’ and is pushing an unpopular MAGA agenda in Congress.
DCCC Spokesperson Maddy Mundy issued the following statement: “Will Rollins built a career holding criminals and dangerous actors accountable as a federal prosecutor. Now Rollins is taking on corrupt Ken Calvert. Southern California voters demand real leadership, not the tired, failed policies Calvert has pushed for the last thirty years. In Congress, Rollins will offer Riverside families a leader ready to take on today’s toughest challenges.”
Will Rollins issued the following statement: “I’m excited to see our national partners recognizing what the people of Riverside already know: Ken Calvert has spent three decades in Congress enriching himself and his cronies, while largely ignoring the folks who live here. Today’s announcement is proof positive that our campaign has the momentum to take on Calvert and deliver real leadership for Riverside families.”
The DCCC’s announcement coincides with another record-breaking fundraising quarter (ending June 30) for Rollins, who just became the first challenger in history to outraise Calvert head-to-head in a quarterly FEC filing period.
