HOUSE DEMOCRATIC WHIP ENDORSES DEMOCRAT WILL ROLLINS FOR CONGRESS

Clark’s Support Marks Highest-Ranking Endorsement for Rollins’ 2024 Campaign

CORONA, C.A. — Today, House Democratic Whip Katherine Clark officially endorsed Will Rollins in California’s 41st Congressional District.

Clark is the highest-ranking Democratic elected official to endorse Rollins’ 2024 bid against Republican Ken Calvert, who faced the closest midterm election of his career in 2022 in his first matchup against Rollins.

“It’s my job to defend and advance the Democrats’ agenda in the House. That’s exactly why I’m giving my enthusiastic endorsement to Will Rollins in California’s 41st District,” said Whip Clark. “It’s not every day I make early endorsements, but Will’s not your everyday candidate. Will has a strong legal background as a former federal prosecutor and helped bring justice to extremists who stormed the Capitol on January 6th. I am looking forward to welcoming him to our Democratic Caucus – and majority –  in November 2024.”

“I’m deeply humbled to have Whip Clark’s early endorsement in this critical race,” said Rollins. “Democrats across the country know that California’s 41st District is a majority-maker seat, and I’m grateful that leaders throughout our party have entrusted me to once again take the fight directly to Ken Calvert in our shared effort to reclaim the House Majority. I look forward to working with tremendous leaders like Whip Clark to flip the House in 2024.”

Clark’s endorsement follows 30 members of the California delegation endorsing Rollins within the first 24 hours of his campaign launch, including endorsements from Speaker Emerita Pelosi and Reps. Barbara Lee, Katie Porter, and Adam Schiff. Former Senator Barbara Boxer also endorsed Rollins on his campaign’s first day in May.

Beyond political support, Rollins has already made strides in his campaign’s early fundraising numbers. In the second quarter, his campaign raised $890,000, making him the #2 highest-fundraising challenger candidate in a competitive seat across the country.
