MAGA EXTREMIST KEN CALVERT DOUBLES DOWN ON SUPPORT FOR TRUMP
Calvert signed on to co-host upcoming Trump fundraising event
CORONA, C.A. — Republican Congressman and MAGA extremist Ken Calvert has wasted no time in 2024 doubling down on his support for former President and likely GOP Presidential Nominee Donald Trump.
In an article in late January, POLITICO reported that “Rep. Ken Calvert, another California Republican in a battleground race, has endorsed Trump.”
And just this week, Trump’s presidential campaign listed Calvert as a co-host for an upcoming massive fundraising event in Washington D.C.
“It’s clear that Calvert is making no attempt to truly moderate himself and put the needs of his constituents first, “ said Coby Eiss, Campaign Manager for Will Rollins. “A vote for Calvert in November will be a vote for Trump’s agenda: more tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans instead of meaningful tax breaks for working people, an exploding deficit, a failed approach at the border, and a full blown attack on our democracy. It’s out-of-step with Riverside County families, driven by politics, and voters deserve an explanation from Calvert on why he’s prioritizing clicks and cash instead of putting country over party.”
In the 2022 election, Donald Trump delivered a full-throated endorsement for Calvert. “Congressman Ken Calvert is doing a fantastic job representing the people of California in Congress,” said Trump at the time.
California’s 41st District is expected to be one of the most competitive House races across the country this fall. Punchbowl News called it the #2 most critical race in America in the battle for control of the House, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee recently listed Rollins on its coveted Red to Blue list.
