INTERNATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ASSOCIATION ENDORSES WILL ROLLINS FOR CONGRESS
ILEOA says incumbent Calvert has shown a “concerning lack of support for law
enforcement.”
CORONA, C.A. — Today, the International Law Enforcement Officers Association (ILEOA) formally endorsed Will Rollins for Congress in California’s 41st District. ILEOA’s mission includes advocating for law enforcement officers to improve working conditions, develop fair policies, and support police through training programs, resources, and crime prevention strategies in partnership with local communities.
“The 41st District needs a representative in Congress who puts our safety first,” said Rollins. “While serving for five years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, I worked day in and day out with our law enforcement agencies right here in Riverside County, keeping families safe from hate, extremism, and corruption. Unlike our current congressman, I’ll vote to fund our law enforcement officers, not strip their resources away. Families across the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley deserve new leadership that’s willing to prioritize our communities’ safety over scoring political points inside the beltway.”
“Will’s background as a former counterterrorism prosecutor, handling over 200 cases at the Department of Justice, including his involvement in prosecuting the January 6th insurrectionists, demonstrates Will’s expertise and experience in safeguarding our nation’s security,” said Leandro Paulino, President of the International Law Enforcement Officers Association. “His tireless efforts to bring justice to those who threatened our democracy highlight Will’s unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law. In stark contrast, his opponent, Ken Calvert, has shown a concerning lack of support for law enforcement. Calvert’s votes to defund local law enforcement, claims regarding the infiltration of the FBI, and his call to drop charges against the January 6th insurrectionists are deeply troubling. We believe that the 41st District deserves a representative who will prioritize the safety and well-being of the community and work towards a fair and just society.”
Calvert’s record on law enforcement continues to be a vulnerability for his campaign. During the primary season, the Rollins campaign called Calvert out for failing to protect law enforcement in a detailed memo HERE.
The ILEOA’s significant endorsement for Rollins’ campaign follows bipartisan support that Rollins received in the 2022 campaign from National Security Leaders for America, former Riverside County Sheriff Stan Sniff, and former GOP Assembly Leader Chad Mayes. And it’s the latest sign of momentum after Inside Elections moved California’s 41st District towards Democrats’ favor and Rollins raised nearly $1 million more than Calvert in the first three months of 2024, filing his first quarter report with a greater than $500,000 cash-on-hand lead.
