STATEMENT FROM WILL ROLLINS ON THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT
CORONA, C.A. — Today, Will Rollins, the Democratic Nominee for California’s 41st District, released the following statement on the thirtieth anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act.
“Ken Calvert has been in Congress long enough to vote against the original Violence Against Women Act. Thirty years later, his tune hasn’t changed. In the past five years, Calvert has voted twice against reauthorizing VAWA, endangering survivors and allowing abusers to buy weapons. His hardline stance is far out-of-touch with Riverside County voters, and when I get to Congress, I look forward to supporting policies that stand with women, not against them. That’s why I’ll co-sponsor the Women’s Health Protection Act on day one.”
Rollins’ campaign released an accompanying online video today highlighting Calvert’s long-term opposition to VAWA.

Will Rollins is a Palm Springs resident and Southern California native. A former federal prosecutor and counterterrorism law attorney, he is now the Democratic nominee for Congress in California’s 41st Congressional District. California’s 41st District is shaping up to be a key 2024 matchup that will help decide the House majority. Punchbowl News called it the #2 most critical race in the battle for control of the House, and the National Journal ranked it as one of its 15 seats most likely to flip this November.
