RETIRED U.S. ARMY BRIGADIER GENERAL AND FORMER REPUBLICAN STEVE ANDERSON ENDORSES ROLLINS, ENCOURAGES CA-41 VOTERS TO PUT COUNTRY FIRST
New ad criticizes Calvert’s vote to gut veterans’ care while enriching himself
CORONA, C.A. — Today, Will Rollins’ campaign is releasing a new digital ad featuring Retired U.S. Army Brigadier General and former Republican Steve Anderson, who is one of over 700 national security leaders to have endorsed Rollins’ campaign for California’s 41st Congressional District.
The ad, “Country First,” calls out Congressman Ken Calvert’s vote to cut billions from veterans’ healthcare, while at the same time he continues to direct taxpayer dollars to benefit the value of his own real estate investments.
“Country First” is part of Rollins’ seven-figure digital advertising program stretching the 41st District between now and Election Day. You can watch the new 30-second spot HERE.
Brigadier General Anderson had a decorated career in the Army, serving for 31 years with assignments overseas in Korea, Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Germany, as well as senior positions at the Pentagon. Most notably, according to his bio on the American Security Project, Brigadier General Anderson served “under General David H. Petraeus as his Deputy Chief of Staff, Logistics for the Multi-National Force in Iraq for 15 months.”
The vote that Brigadier General Anderson references in the “Limit, Save, Grow Act” wasn’t the only time in Ken Calvert’s three decades in Washington that he voted against the best interests of our veterans. For instance, in 2022, Calvert also voted against a bipartisan bill backed by the American Legion to ensure all veterans receive the GI bill benefits they earned.
In both his 2022 and 2024 campaigns, Rollins has earned the support of National Security Leaders for America, a group of over 700 national security leaders who served presidents of both parties. Brigadier General Anderson is a member of the organization and also serves on the board of Vote Vets.

Will Rollins is a Palm Springs resident and Southern California native. A former federal prosecutor and counterterrorism law attorney, he is now the Democratic nominee for Congress in California’s 41st Congressional District. California’s 41st District is shaping up to be a key 2024 matchup that will help decide the House majority. Punchbowl News called it the #2 most critical race in the battle for control of the House, and the National Journal ranked it as one of its 15 seats most likely to flip this November.
