WILL ROLLINS CONCEDES 2024 CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION

CORONA, C.A. — Following the Associated Press calling the result of the 2024 election for California’s 41st District, Democrat Will Rollins released the following statement:

“I will be reaching out to Congressman Calvert to offer my congratulations on his reelection to represent California’s 41st District.

“I’m going to be honest: losing sucks. Especially after campaigning back-to-back for nearly three years. But I will never regret running. Way too many of us sit on the couch and complain about politics – or the way campaigns are run – without ever getting off the sidelines and actually stepping into the arena ourselves. And I get it: that was me until I turned 37 years old.

“That’s why I am so proud to have been in the fight with you, the people who supported this campaign. Because win or lose, you know that the work is never really done in America.

“As I said on Election Night, doing work as an American isn’t just about showing up at your job. It’s about showing up for your country. The privilege of being an American means that we the people are the protectors of our democracy. Not any one president. Not any one member of Congress. I’m talking about you, their bosses. The American people.

“So thank you to our volunteers, our campaign staff, and our donors. Thank you to everyone who voted in this election – no matter who you voted for – for realizing how many Americans died to give us that sacred right. And thank you to our veterans for putting your lives on the line to protect the same.

“Speaking of gratitude, in a few weeks we are about to celebrate what might be my favorite holiday of the year: Thanksgiving. It’s my favorite not only because we get to overeat and drink and fall asleep in a recliner by 2pm without any shame, but because we get to spend time being grateful for the people and the country that we love.

“Having grown up with Republicans and Democrats, I’m going to be grateful for my family and friends no matter who they voted for in this election. And you should too. Ken Calvert and I disagree about a lot. We have our divisions, as you probably saw in those ads. But loving your neighbor — and your fellow Americans — should never depend on whether they voted for Kamala Harris or Donald Trump, Will Rollins or Ken Calvert, or the red team versus the blue.

“So let us all remember that the path back to our collective humanity lies in one direction — forward. With malice toward none, and charity toward all. We, the United States, are one country, with one destiny. Thank you for supporting this campaign.”
