DEMOCRAT WILL ROLLINS RAISES OVER $350,000 IN FIRST 24 HOURS OF CAMPAIGN
First-day haul sets a fundraising record for a Democrat against Calvert.
CORONA, C.A. — This morning, Democrat Will Rollins announced that his campaign raised more than $350,000 in the first 24 hours since announcing a rematch against Republican Ken Calvert in California’s 41st District.
“The support is overwhelming,” said Rollins. “I’m incredibly humbled that at a time when it would be so easy to retreat from the toxic divisions that divide our country, so many grassroots supporters are stepping up to meet the moment and help us build a campaign that will bring real change for families across Riverside County. I believe that we need a new generation of leadership in Congress that values public service over self-enrichment, and clearly that message is resonating as demonstrated by the grassroots support behind our growing campaign.”
Rollins’ fundraising pace sets a record for any Democrat to have ever run against Ken Calvert. $350,000 in 24 hours is more money raised than any Democrat has ever raised in their entire first quarter against Calvert. And it’s more money than every Democratic nominee prior to Rollins since at least 2014 had raised in their entire campaign.
The early fundraising momentum behind Rollins’ campaign is the latest proof point that California’s 41st District will be a race critical to the House majority in 2024. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has already named it one of their 33 initial targets, and House Majority PAC has announced a $35 million battleground fund for California house seats.
