CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE WILL ROLLINS TOUTS REPUBLICAN SUPPORT AHEAD OF DONALD TRUMP AND MIKE JOHNSON’S VISITS TO RIVERSIDE COUNTY
Calvert Significantly Underperforming with His Own Party
CORONA, C.A. — With former President Trump holding a rally in Coachella tomorrow and ultra far-right Speaker of the House Mike Johnson rallying at Calvert campaign HQ on Sunday, Democratic nominee Will Rollins is touting his support among everyday Republicans who know that Calvert’s extremism is out of step with Riverside County.
Rollins’ campaign is airing a new ad on Fox News called “Republicans for Rollins,” which you can view on the campaign’s YouTube channel HERE.
“Ken Calvert refused to bring $300M to Riverside County for infrastructure funding, but he’s giddy to bring Mike Johnson, the co-sponsor of the national abortion ban, to Corona,” said Rollins. “Tells you all you need to know about his priorities.”
Rollins has built significant bipartisan support over the course of the last two election cycles. Former Republican Riverside County Sheriff Stan Sniff, former Republican Assembly Leader Chad Mayes, and hundreds of national security leaders who served presidents in both parties have supported Rollins’ candidacy.
In a recent USC public poll, survey findings showed that Rollins was over-performing with Republicans. According to Christian Grose of the USC Price School of Public Policy, “…the polling data shows Calvert is underperforming in this district relative to other Republican statewide candidates like Senate candidate Steve Garvey.”
